FaceBounce Privacy Policy
Effective 22 October 2026
In short: FaceBounce does not collect, store on any server, sell or share any of your data. Your photo and settings stay in your own browser.
What FaceBounce stores
To work, FaceBounce saves the following in your browser using Chrome's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local):
- The photo you upload, after it has been cropped and resized on your device
- Your settings: on/off, speed, size, number of faces, round or square, colour tint
- The face's current position and direction, so it carries on between pages
- Your corner-hit count
This data never leaves your device. It is not sent to the developer or to anyone else.
What FaceBounce does not do
- It does not collect personal information, browsing history or analytics
- It does not read, record or change the content of the websites you visit
- It makes no network requests and uses no third-party services, trackers or ads
- It does not sell or transfer any data
Why it runs on every website
FaceBounce draws a transparent, click-through layer on top of each page so the face can bounce while you browse. That is the only thing it does on those pages.
Deleting your data
Click Use the smiley in the FaceBounce menu to remove your photo, or uninstall the extension to delete everything it stored.
Changes to this policy
If FaceBounce ever changes how it handles data, this page will be updated and the effective date above will change.
